Focus and Scope

  1. Airlangga Journal of Innovation Management (AJIM) aims to link the research and practice of innovation management. AJIM adopt a multidisciplinary approach to addressing the many challenges of managing innovation.
  2. AJIM encourages the submission of papers addressing the multidisciplinary nature of the innovation process combining principles and concepts originating from a myriad of scientific areas, from social sciences to technology research and development. AJIM encompasses all phases of the process of technological innovation from conceptualization of a new technology-based product/service process through commercialization.

 

The multidisciplinary perspective associated with AJIM means that papers should combine, though not being restricted, to the following areas:

  • Product Innovation Management, such as:
    • Economic and Social Science (e.g., Business Anthropology; Business; Creativity and Improvisation; Cross-cultural Issues; Design Thinking; Education; Entrepreneurship; Innovation; Economics; Management; Market Research; Marketing; Research Methods; Strategy).
    • Technology and Science.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts are read by the editorial staff. Those manuscripts evaluated by editors to be inappropriate to journal criteria are rejected promptly without external review. Manuscripts evaluated to be of potential interest to our readership are sent to double blind reviewers. The editors then make a decision based on the reviewer’s recommendation from among several possibilities: rejected, require major revision, need minor revision, or accepted.

 

Publication Frequency

This journal is published twice.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
