History

Amerta Nutrition was first published in 2012 under the name Media Gizi Kesmas (MGK) by the Department of Health Nutrition Faculty of Public Health Airlangga University. MGK publication is an initiative of Prof. Soedjajadi Keman, dr., MS., PhD, Vice Dean of 1 Faculty of Public Health Airlangga University to bridge DIKTI appeal related publications for undergraduate students in Indonesia. After that MGK stewardship was established with the Chairman of the Editorial Board: Dr. Annis Catur Adi, Ir., M.Si and Implementing Editor of Early Mother Dini Ririn Andrias, S.KM, MSc. Initial edition of MGK has never been published at all even though MGK online has got ISSN number (0126-0308)

Based on the meeting of the Department of Health Nutrition as the publisher of MGK in January 2017, it was decided to dismiss the issuance of MGK because it has been about 4 years unpublished. However, it is still deemed necessary to publish scientific journals in the field of nutrition online to complete the publication in print journal Indonesian Nutrition Media (MGI) as well as accommodate the results of research and literature study of students, lecturers, and researchers of nutrition.

Therefore on January 25, 2017 stairs along with National Nutrition Day agreed on the establishment of a new online journal by the name of Amerta Nutrition (ISSN: 2580-1163, e-ISSN: 2580-9776) apple and leaf logo as a representation of fruits and vegetables that are nutrient-rich foods. The management of Amerta Nutrition consists of Mr. Trias Mahmudiono, S.KM, MPH (Nutr.), GCAS, PhD as editor in chief assisted by 3 person section editors each in the field of: public health nutrition (Mahmud Aditya Rifqi, S.Gz , MSi), clinical and dietetic nutrition (Farapti, dr., M.Gizi), and food nutrition (Ema Rhitmayanti, S.Gz, MPH). In March 2017, Amerta Nutrition Volume 1, Volume 1 appeared with 5 articles.
