Peer Review Process

Submitted manuscripts on Jurnal Farmasi Komunitas (JFK) will go through the administration review and editor review stages before it will be sent to the reviewers.

At the administrative review stage, checks will be made whether the submitted manuscripts comply with the rules that apply to the JFK author guidelines and templates. The complete files or supporting files for submission are also checked at this stage. Then, the manuscripts will be checked in turnitin, if the results of plagiarism are not more than 20% then the manuscripts will enter the editor review stage. However, if the results of plagiarism are more than 20%, then the manuscript will be returned to the author(s) for correction.

At the editor review stage, checks will be made whether the submitted manuscripts are in accordance with the scientific scope and standards applicable to JFK. If the manuscripts do not meet the requirements, then the manuscripts will be rejected.

If the manuscripts meet the requirements at the administrative and editorial review stage, the manuscripts will be sent to the reviewers. The manuscripts will be reviewed by two reviewers by means of a double-blind peer review. The review process on JFK takes 2-3 weeks, with additional 1 week if needed. If the two reviewers have finished the review process, the results of the review will be sent to the author(s) for correction. The editor will also add comments or recommendations for improvement if needed.

Then, editorial board will make a decision whether the manuscript accepted or rejected.

 

Publication Frequency

JFK published twice a year; in March and October.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

Article Processing Charge

Every article submitted and published in JFK will not be charged for any fees.

 

Plagiarism Screening

Plagiarism is the act of when one author uses another work/author (copying someone’s prior ideas, processes, results or words) without permission, credit, or acknowledgment. Jurnal Farmasi Komunitas (JFK) is strictly against any unethical act of copying or plagiarism in any form. Authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works. JFK considers plagiarism as a serious offense and will blacklist authors who knowingly cite or use material from other published works without proper acknowledgment. Every manuscript that is also submitted to this journal will be screened for plagiarism using Turnitin Program before published by JFK Editor. If plagiarism detected more than 20%, the article may be rejected or we will alert to the author(s) and will ask them to rewrite the content or to cite the references from where the content has been taken.

If plagiarism is detected after publication, the Journals will conduct an investigation. If plagiarism is found, the competent authority of JFK Journal will contact the author's institute and funding agencies. The paper containing the plagiarism will be marked on each page of the PDF. Depending on the extent of the plagiarism, the paper may also be formally retracted.
