Jurnal Ilmiah Perikanan dan Kelautan (JIPK; English: Scientific Journal of Fisheries and Marine)

JIPK is a peer-reviewed and open access biannually (April and November) that published by the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Universitas Airlangga. The aim of JIPK is to publish exciting, empirical research, recent science development, and high-quality science that addresses fundamental questions in fisheries and marine. JIPK only accepts manuscripts written in full English and processes submitted original script related of scope to fisheries and marine science and not being published by other publishers. We publish four categories of papers; 1) Original research papers, 2) Critical review articles, 3) Short communications, and, 4)Special Issue on applied or scientific research relevant to freshwater, brackish and marine environments. This journal gives readers the state of art of the theory and its applications of all aspects of fisheries and marine science. The scope of this journal includes, but is not limited to the research results of: Aquaculture, Fish Diseases, Marine science, Oceanography, Aquatic resources management, Fisheries product technology, Fish capture, technology, Fishery agribusiness, Fishery biotechnology/molecular genetics, Fish health management.

JIPK has been indexed in Scopus, DOAJ, Sinta 1, Dimensions, Crossref, and others indexing. This journal has been accredited as a 1st Grade Scientific Journal (Sinta 1) by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of Indonesia since 8 December 2020.

GRAPHICAL ABSTRACT: New Requirement for Submission

February 7, 2023

Following JIPK's new rule, authors who want to submit their manuscript should prepare a graphical abstract as a supplementary file. This new rule is applied starting from Volume 15 No 2 (November, 2023).

Authors whose manuscripts have been issued in the 2023: IN PRESS ISSUE (JUST ACCEPTED MANUSCRIPT, 2023) and Vol 15 No. 2 (2023): IN PROGRESS ISSUE must prepare the graphical abstract and email it to: jipk@fpk.unair.ac.id with subject email: Graphical Abstract - Manuscript #ID Submission.

All authors who have active submissions are encouraged to check their ojs regularly.

NEW ISSUE IS UP!

We proudly announce that our new issue for Volume 15 No 1, consisting of 20 articles (9 Research Articles and 11 Short Communications) has been officially publish in January 29th, 2023.

We thank all the authors from 59 institutions and 6 countries for entrusting and choosing us to publish their excellent papers. It's been an honour! We also thank the editors, assistant editors, as well as the reviewers for their great contributions to improve the papers.

We will continue to do our best to contribute and spread knowledge in the Fisheries and Marine field for the sake of education and intelligence. As Kofi Annan said,

"Knowledge is power. Information is liberating. Education is the premise of progress, in every society, in every family".
