Focus and Scope

The scope of this journal has various aspects of science in the field of Vocational Health, such as Radiology, Traditional Medicine, Medicinal Laboratory Technology, Occupational Health and Safety, and Dental Laboratory Technique. Journal of Vocational Health Studies accepts submission from all over the world. All accepted articles will be published on an open-access basis and will be freely available to all readers with worldwide visibility and coverage.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to this journal (Journal of Applied Veterinary Science and Technology) must follow Focus and Scope and Author Guidelines of this journal. The submitted manuscript to this journal can be written in Indonesian or English. The manuscript must not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. 

All submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection software to do the similarity checking (please use Turnitin to check the similarity). Editors will also check the similarity of manuscripts in this journal by using a Turnitin software.

The submitted manuscripts to this journal will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers from Peer-Reviewers Team. The reviewers give scientific valuable comments improving the contents of the manuscript. The review process used in this journal is double blind review system. 3-4 (three untill four) weeks will be needed for reviewers to complete one round of the reviewing process.

Final decision of manuscript acceptance is solely made by Editor in Chief according to reviewers critical comments. The final decision of manuscript is solely based on the Editors final review which considering peer-reviewers comments (but not solely by Reviewer).

Publication of accepted articles including the assigning the article to published issue will be made by Editor in Chief by considering sequence of accepted date and thematic issue.

 

Publication Frequency

Journal of Vocational Health Studies (J.Voc.HS) publish with a frequency of 3 (three) times a year in March, July, and November. 

Journal of Vocational Health Studies published by Department of Health, Faculty of Vocational Health Studies, Universitas Airlangga.

 

Open Access Policy

Journal of Vocational Health Studies (JVHS) provides immediate open access to its content by making research freely available for public and supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. 

The Authors submitting a manuscript do so on the understanding that if accepted for publication, copyright of the article is transferred to the Journal of Vocational Health Studies whilst the moral right of the publication belongs to the author.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the Portal Garuda, PKP PN and LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

Article Processing Charge

Every article submitted to Journal of Vocational Health Studies does not charge any 'Submission and 'Article Processing Fees'. This includes peer-reviewing, editing, publishing, maintaining and archiving, and allow immediate access to the full-text versions of the article.

 

Plagiarism Screening

It is the policy of this journal to use automated software, like TURNITIN to check for plagiarism in all submitted manuscripts. This journal can not accept any plagiarism in any manuscripts or it will be rejected immediately. The manuscript is passed if the similarity is less than 20%. The results of this automated detection are forwarded to the Section Editor and will serve as the preliminary check for plagiarism. Plagiarism may also be identified during the review process by the technical reviewers assigned to the manuscript. Final plagiarism will be done after the author finalizes their reviewed manuscript.

When plagiarism is identified, the Section Editor responsible for the review of the manuscript and the Editor-in-Chief will agree on measures according to the extent of plagiarism detected in the manuscript in agreement with the following guidelines. The Editor-in-Chief shall have the authority to deviate from these guidelines on a case by case basis.
