Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) is a genetic analysis of the reproductive health that has evolved from the substantial advances in the Assisted Reproductive Tehnologies (ART), in which the embrio created in Vitro Fertilization (IVF) methods. PGD is mainly used at couples, where one or both parents have a genetic disorder, as a career, or is suspected of having a genetic disorder. PGD is a non-invasive prenatal diagnostics are more advantageous than others examination techniques, such as amniocentesis and Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS), as to avoid the risk of abortion or termination of pregnancy if the results is known to have genetic abnormalities in embryos. The biopsy was made during embryonic cells 3 days after fertilization or cleavage-stage biopsy before implantation into the uterus. Application of this examination is intended to include a single gene disorder genetic disorder (X-linked disorder) and chromosomal translocations. Writing this paper, to determine the benefits of PGD in IVF embryos generated so that the quality is better or avoid genetic disorders before implantation.
