SOSIAL EKONOMI PONDOK PESANTREN PERSPEKTIF SEJARAH



Abstract
This study aims to explore the contribution of the boarding school in the socio-economic empowerment historical perspective. The scope of exploration is to examine the socioeconomic boarding school based on their competence and expertise, the development of the number of students and the long standing, funding sources, and charitable efforts. Penelitilannya is qualitative descriptive method, with the object of research, namely 17 largest boarding school in East Java.
The results showed that; boarding school based on their competence and expertise, the number of students, and the age of the boarding school and charitable efforts as one of the funding sources of operational boarding school has been able to provide a real contribution in the course and development of the nation and state of Indonesia. Contribution socioeconomic boarding school in the history of Indonesia (historical perspective) is very significant, namely in the form of socio-economic empowerment especially boarding school environment itself and nationally in general. The success of these socio-economic empowerment without leaving karifan local and cultural character keindonesiaan or archipelago to stick to the values of Islam kaffah.
