Psychiatry Nursing Journal is a scientific journal that includes research results in the field of nursing or related health professions:

The Psychiatry Nursing Journal receives all research articles related to the latest issues and trends in mental health care that includes the latest developments in mental health care both clinically and practically, education and training, issues related to mental care professional care, management approaches , development policies, issues in clinical scope and ethics. All articles received will be published via e-journal and based on open access.

Peer Review Process

In the review process, there are at least two reviewers for each article.
Editor's decision to accept or reject articles is based on review results and input from reviewers.
Reviewers are given 2 weeks to complete one review process round. In general, prospective reviewers will be chosen based on their reputation in number of international publications and quality of the article. For the next step, the editor sends an invitation for review to each prospective reviewer. After the prospective reviewer states that they are willing to review the article, the editor sends the article through OJS. All review processes are carried out by blind review and managed by the editor at OJS.

Publication Ethics Statement

Psychiatry nursing journal is a peer-reviewed electronic journal. This statement explains the ethical actions of all parties involved in publishing articles in this journal, including the authors, editor-in-chief, Editorial Board, peer-reviewers and publishers (Airlangga University).

An ethical guide to journal publications

Publication of articles in the Psychiatry Nursing Journal reviewed by peers is an important foundation in the development of a coherent and respected knowledge network. This is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of authors and supporting institutions. Articles reviewed by peers will support and realize the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree on standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: author, journal editor, peer-reviewer, publisher, and the public.


Airlangga University as the publisher of the Psychiatry Nursing Journal carries out its duties as a very serious guarantor at all stages of publishing and we recognize our ethical and other responsibilities. We are committed to ensuring that advertisements, reprints, or other commercial revenues do not impact or influence editorial decisions. The Editorial Board will assist in communication with other journals and / or publishers where this is useful and necessary.

Decision of Publication

The Editor of the Psychiatry Nursing Journal is responsible for deciding which articles to submit to the journal that must be published. The validation of the scientific work in question and its importance to researchers and readers is the basis for the decision. Editors are guided by journal editorial board policies and are limited by legal requirements that will apply regarding defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The editor can negotiate with other editors or other reviewers in making this decision.

Just act

An Editor evaluates the text of an article at any time related to intellectual content regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, beliefs, religion, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the author.


Editors and editorial members are not allowed to submit or divulge any information about the text of the article submitted to the Psychiatry Nursing Journal to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewer, prospective reviewer, other editor members and publishers as they should.

Disclosure of secrets and conflicts of interest

Unpublished material disclosed in the text of the article submitted may not be used in the editor's own research without the written consent of the author.

Contribution to Editorial Decisions

Peer review helps the editor in making editorial decisions as well as communication between the editorial team and the writer can also help improve the quality of the author's article manuscript.


The reviewer / reviewer who is selected when he feels unable to meet the requirements to review the manuscript of the article must report to the Editor and excuse himself to withdraw from the review process.



Every article that is accepted for review must be treated as a confidential document. The article may not be shown or discussed with anyone except as authorized by the editor.


Objectivity Standards

The review process must be carried out objectively. Personal criticism of the writer is inappropriate. The reviewer must express their views clearly with supporting arguments.


Source Recognition

The reviewer must identify relevant published scientific works that have not been cited by the author. Any statement that observations, derivations, or arguments that have been written in the article must be accompanied by relevant citations. The reviewer must also ask the editor's attention about the substantial similarities or overlaps between the text being considered and any other paper published based on personal knowledge.


Confidential disclosure and Conflict of Interest

Information or special ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal gain. The reviewer should not consider article texts where they have a conflict of interest arising from competition, collaboration, or other relationships or connections with any author, company or institution connected with the paper.


Author's Duties

Reporting Standards

The author of the original research report must present an accurate report of the research activities / article writing that has been carried out as well as an objective discussion of its significance. The underlying data must be represented accurately in the article. An article script must contain sufficient details and references to enable others to replicate the work. False or intentionally inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable behavior.


Originality and Plagiarism

Writers must ensure that they have written the original work in its entirety, and if the author has used the work and / or words of others then must ensure that the words have been quoted or quoted correctly.


Multiple, Redundant, or Simultaneous Publications

An author may not, in general, publish an article script which basically describes the same research in more than one journal or major publication. Submitting the same text to more than one journal simultaneously is unethical and unacceptable publishing behavior.


Source Recognition

Recognition of the correct source of citation for the work of others must always be given. Authors must cite influential publications in determining the nature of the work reported.


Paper Essay

Authorship must be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, implementation, or interpretation of the research reported. All who have made significant contributions must be registered as co-authors. Where there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they must be recognized or registered as contributors. The appropriate author must ensure that all suitable joint authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included in the article's manuscript, and that all joint authors have seen and agreed to the final version of the paper and have approved their submission for publication.


Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

All authors must disclose in their manuscripts any other financial or substantive conflict of interest that might be interpreted to affect the results or interpretation of the text of their article. All sources of financial support for research projects must be disclosed.


A fundamental error in the published work

When an author discovers significant errors or inaccuracies in his self-published work, it is the author's obligation to immediately notify the journal editor or publisher and work with the editor to retract or correct the text of the article.

Article Processing Charge

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Publication Fee: 250,003 (IDR)

Articles written in Indonesian. If the article submitted is accepted for publication, the author will be asked to pay the article publication fee to cover the publication costs.

Plagiarism check aims to maintain the quality of originality and novelty. Every article sent to the Jurnal Ners will be checked for plagiarism using Turnitin prior to publication with the maximum number of 20% originality report
