Questionnaires and in-depth interviews were used to collect data. Quantitative data were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science version 20 while qualitative data were subjected to content analysis.

Findings: Findings revealed that appointment letters and letters of confirmation were the most cited (16.7%) type of personnel records readily available in various departments at Liwale District Council. Others include health and social security records, letter of transfer, notification of termination/death and retirement, medical report, wages and salary slip, and copy of birth certificate.

Conclusion: It is recommended that Liwale district council should address the challenges faced in the management of personnel records for better and fair decision-making.
Andrew Malekani, Christian Mubofu Copyright (c) 2023 Andrew Malekani, Christian Mubofu http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://e-journal.unair.ac.id/RLJ/article/view/39411 Fri, 30 Jun 2023 00:00:00 +0700 Analysis of Depreciation of Archives in The Central Khazanah Archives https://e-journal.unair.ac.id/RLJ/article/view/43427
Background of the study: The Bank Indonesia Representative Office creates and produces large numbers of archives every day. Bank Indonesia Representative Offices have their own system regarding records, namely MDBI (Bank Indonesia Document Management) which is supported by technology-based application tools, namely the BI-Records Management System (BI-RMS). This application is a system in the archive management process that is used regarding the form of activity of receiving or sending, filing, storing, using, maintaining, securing, and depreciating archives.

Purpose: Knowing how to depreciate archives at Bank Indonesia Bengkulu Province and the obstacles in depreciating such archives.

Method: This study used a qualitative case study method. Data collection was carried out through systematic observation and in-depth interviews with informants.

Findings: The results of the study stated that there were several obstacles in shrinking archives. Transfer of archives is carried out based on the notification of the list of archives transferred to the BI-RMS system that appears when the archivist opens the system. In transferring archives, there are still several documents that do not have a code so that in determining KMJRBI, those who do not know the main tasks of the archive creation unit will likely be hampered in determining the archive classification code so that the archive depreciation process becomes less effective.

Conclusion: The difficulty of determining the JRA for certain documents lies in the fact that JR of several different documents takes considerable for archivists to determine the JRA. In response to these obstacles, the Bengkulu Province Bank Indonesia Representative Office can conduct training to improve archivist competence in managing records, especially in the depreciation section.
Deby Palista, Fransiska Timoria Samosir, Lailatus Sa’Diyah Copyright (c) 2023 Deby Palista http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://e-journal.unair.ac.id/RLJ/article/view/43427 Fri, 30 Jun 2023 00:00:00 +0700 Library Use Instruction on Undergraduates’ Utilization of Library Resource https://e-journal.unair.ac.id/RLJ/article/view/43070
Background of the study: This study investigated the effects of library use instruction on undergraduate utilization of library resources: a case study of the Delta State University Library, Abraka.

Purpose: The study’s major goal is to investigate library use instruction and undergraduates’ utilization of library resources.

Method: The descriptive survey research design was used in this study. The population of the study is 4,714 Faculty of Education students. A sample size of 256 was chosen for this study. A questionnaire was the instrument used to collect data from the respondents. Descriptive statistics (frequency) and the statistical mean were used to analyze the data.

Findings: The study found that the types of library resources used by undergraduates are the internet, databases, computer software, e-books, and books. The extent to which they use library resources is low. The types of library use instruction taught to the students are library orientation and electronic databases. The extent to which they participate in the instruction is low.

Conclusion: Consequently, the study recommended that the Delta State University Library make library use instruction programs mandatory for both freshmen and transfer students in order to improve their use of library resources.
Esoswo Francisca Ogbomo Copyright (c) 2023 Esoswo Francisca Ogbomo http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://e-journal.unair.ac.id/RLJ/article/view/43070 Fri, 30 Jun 2023 00:00:00 +0700 Competence Improvement of School Libraries in Realizing Adaptive Service Innovation https://e-journal.unair.ac.id/RLJ/article/view/43865
Background of the study: Librarians are required to adapt to the surrounding environment in all eras. During the post-Covid-19 pandemic period, returning the spirit of offline learning by providing the right information resources for users at the school level is necessary. Improving the competence of librarians in managing the library is one of the keys.

Purpose: This study aims to analyze how librarians adaptively improve their competency in the post-Covid-19 pandemic.

Method: This research uses a qualitative approach and case study method. Data collection techniques were using observation, interviews, and documentation analysis. The validity of the data was tested using the source triangulation technique. Data are presented by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions.

Findings: The librarian profession is a profession with competencies that develop adaptively. Improving the competence of school librarians in the post-pandemic period includes general competencies and core competencies. General competencies include operating computers, compiling work programs, and compiling reports. Improvement of core competencies includes a selection of library materials, acquisition of information sources, cataloging capabilities, maintenance of library materials, improvement of circulation services, reference services, information retrieval, library promotion capabilities, literacy, use of IT in libraries, as well as enhancement of specific competencies. Competency enhancement is carried out in various ways: through training, technical guidance, knowledge sharing, seminars, and workshops held online, hybrid, and offline. As well as comparative studies in other libraries, both online and offline.

Conclusion: Online self-development activities are still the prima donna for librarians at the school level because they save costs and time. In contrast, offline activities are still a factor in cost considerations.
Muhammad Erdiansyah Cholid Anjali, Zeni Istiqomah Copyright (c) 2023 Muhammad Erdiansyah Cholid Anjali, Zeni Istiqomah http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://e-journal.unair.ac.id/RLJ/article/view/43865 Fri, 30 Jun 2023 00:00:00 +0700 Mediatization of Library on Instagram as a Promotional Medium https://e-journal.unair.ac.id/RLJ/article/view/41127
Background of the study: In addition to being a medium of communication, social media is also used for promotion media for institutions that can cause dramatization processes.
