Focus and Scope

It is a scientific journal which encompasses library science, records, information, and documentation.  Record and Library Journal is a medium for researchers, academicians, professionals, practitioners, and students that are interested in the world of librarianship and records. This journal also facilitates knowledge sharing from results of studies, case study, and literature review.

Peer Review Process

Article is accepted by the editorial staffs, then the editorial staffs will forward the article to the reviewer. After the article is reviewed by the reviewer, it will be returned to the editorial staffs. Then, the editorial staffs will send it back to the authors. Further, the authors have to revise the article according to the reviewer’s suggestions. After finishing the revision, the author should submit the revised version of the article to the editorial staffs in which it will be forwarded to the editor. The editor will edit the article based on the journal style guide. After it is edited, the article will be returned to the author to ask for agreement. If the author agrees, the article will be processed for publication.

Journal publication is Twice a year (No.1 January - June & No.2 July - December)


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.



This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

Article Processing Charge

Publication Notice
1. There will be an official notification to the authors if their articles are accepted to publish in Record and Library Journal
2. If revisions needed, authors should actively correspond with editors. The unreturned revisions or the revisions submitted after the dateline will cause cancellation of publication.
3. Articles submitted to the Record and Library Journal (RLJ) will be charged IDR 500,000 per article for Indonesian authors, but free for student authors. The fee is paid when your article has been declared accepted at RLJ. There are no additional costs for submitting manuscripts, including peer-review, editing, publishing, maintenance and archiving, and providing direct access to the full-text version of the article.
4. If authors wish to buy the printed version of the journal, authors should contact journal redaction through email to fill the pre-order form.
