Studi Komparasi Kepuasan Pernikahan Ditinjau dari Durasi Pernikahan

Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukan adanya ketidak-konsistenan hasil penelitian antara kepuasan pernikahan dan durasi pernikahan. Beberapa peneliti menyatakan adanya hubungan negatif antara dua variabel ini, beberapa lainnya membuktikan adanya hubungan positif, dan terdapat pula yang menunjukkan pola kurva U. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan rata-rata kepuasan pernikahan ditinjau dari durasi pernikahan. Kelompok durasi pernikahan yang dimaksud yaitu short-term marriage, moderate-term marriage, dan long-term marriage. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian survei cross-sectional. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 171 orang. Alat ukur yang digunakan merupakan hasil modifikasi dari ENRICH Marital Satisfaction Scale dan analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik uji Kruskal Wallis. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya perbedaan kepuasan pernikahan pada ketiga kelompok durasi dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar .038. Perbedaan rata-rata secara spesifik ada pada pasangan kelompok long-term marriage dan moderate-term marriage dengan nilai signifikansi .043.
