Pandangan Feminisme Poskolonial terhadap Upaya Amerika Serikat dalam Mempromosikan Hak Perempuan di Afganistan Paska 9/11

maju dalam mempromosikan dan menyebarkan agenda-agenda kesetaraan dan keadilan gender. Di beberapa kasus, perjuangan hak-hak perempuan dapat digunakan sebagai pembenaran atas perang dan perubahan rezim. Fenomena ini mendapat dukungan dari feminis liberal barat, yang mendominasi dukungan terhadap pemberdayaan perempuan di seluruh dunia. Berbeda dengan feminis liberal, feminis poskolonial memandang dukungan negara-negara utara terhadap perempuan di negara-negara selatan dengan penuh kecurigaan. Mereka berargumentasi bahwa isu-isu feminis dikooptasi oleh negara-negara utara untuk memajukan kepentingan geopolitik dibandingkan dukungan tulus terhadap hak-hak perempuan. Artikel ini bertujuan meninjau kembali secara kritis dukungan negara-negara utara terhadap perempuan negara-negara selatan dengan melakukan studi kasus mengenai perjuangan feminis Amerika mempromosikan hak-hak perempuan di Afghanistan. Upaya internasional yang dipimpin Amerika dalam mendukung perempuan Afghanistan mencapai kesetaraan politik dan sosial dijelaskan dan dianalisis dengan kacamata feminis poskolonial. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan perspektif yang lebih luas dalam membahas hak-hak perempuan di Afghanistan.
