Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • In 2024, the Journal of Information Systems Engineering and Business Intelligence will become an author-paid open access journal. Authors who submit their manuscript after July 31, 2023, will be asked to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) after acceptance of their paper to make their work immediately, permanently, and freely accessible to all.This article processing charge is to cover the costs of peer review, copyediting, typesetting, and journal management. If accepted for publication, the Article Processing Charges (APC), IDR 3,000,000, will apply to your article. For paper that involves international collaboration (authors affiliated with organizations from different country), there is an IDR 1,000,000 discount. See here for more information on APC.
  • Manuscripts must be submitted in grammatically correct English using standard American English for the benefit of the readers, reviewers, and editors. per our policies, to improve the quality of journal articles, we require authors to perform English editing (proofreading) services.
  • The submission has not been previously published or is under consideration of another journal. The Authors have read and understood Journal Publication Ethics.
  • Authors must use the JISEBI template (Microsoft Word format) to prepare their manuscripts. Using the template file will greatly reduce the time to edit the accepted manuscripts.
  • As part of the submission process, authors must check their submission's compliance with the Authors Submission Checklist, it can help significantly shorten the time to publish, and the manuscript will be presented professionally in both format and content to a broad audience.
  • All authors have read and agreed to the published version of the manuscript. The list of authors listed at the time of submission is final and should not be changed. One of the authors who corresponded through the OJS system was determined as the correspondence author. The correspondent author must write all authors' information, including e-mails and ORCID ID, in the manuscript and the OJS system.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Ethics in publishing
This journal follows the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and requests authors to familiarize themselves with these guidelines. Please see our Publication Ethics pages.

Declaration of interest
All authors must disclose any financial and personal relationships that could inappropriately influence their work. Please declare potential conflicts of interest from our Editorial Team member in "Comments for Editor" form during paper submission through OJS. You don't need to include colleagues from similar organizational into the list, by default they are included in potential conflicts of interest list.

Submission declaration and verification
Submission has not been previously published or is under consideration of another journal (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic thesis or as an electronic preprint). Changes to authorship
the list of authors listed at the time of submission is final and should not be changed. Authors are expected to consider carefully including an order of authors. any addition, deletion or rearrangement of author names should be made only before the manuscript has been accepted and only if approved by the Editors. written confirmation (e-mail, letter) from all authors are needed to make such change, includes confirmation from the author being added or removed. Only in exceptional circumstances will the Editors consider the addition, deletion or rearrangement of authors.

Submission
We use Open Journal System (OJS) fully. The manuscript acceptance will be done by uploading to the OJS system via https://e-journal.unair.ac.id/JISEBI. As part of the submission process, authors must check their submission's compliance with the Submission Preparation Checklist, it can help significantly shorten the time to publish, and the manuscript will be presented professionally in both format and content to a broad audience. 

PREPARATION

Single Blind Peer Review
All manuscripts received must be original and will be subject to a single-blind review process. Make sure that all authors information is provided in OJS metadata upon submission. At least 2 reviewers will be assigned per manuscripts. Based on them, the final decision made by the editor is unappealable.

Submission files
The submission file is the docx format in Microsoft Word 2007 or later version. The manuscript is written on the A4 paper size and the content is displayed in single columns. please use the JISEBI template to make it easier for you to write the manuscript, in addition to helping the editor in layout editing process. As part of the submission process, authors must check their submission's compliance with the Authors Submission Checklist, it can help significantly shorten the time to publish, and the manuscript will be presented professionally in both format and content to a broad audience.

Article Structure
Manuscripts must be submitted in English and structured using the IMRaD (Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion) format. you need to write the Results and Discussion chapter separately. Manuscripts can be any length, using figures and tables effectively. please used single-space, single column, and max 2 level heading in your manuscripts. use IEEE standard for Reference style and general Layout. We suggest there should be at least 20 references within the manuscript. The Author is recommended to use Mendeley Reference Manager for handling citations in the manuscript.

Revising Instructions

Upon revising your manuscript, please upload the updated version to the submission system, ensuring that you include the materials specified on this page.

Upon resubmission, the journal conducts technical assessments to confirm compliance with our formatting and publication standards. Responding to Reviewers

Engage with each reviewer's individual comments. Provide your responses to feedback from both reviewers and editors, detailing the revisions made to the manuscript. If you have finished all the revisions, please NOTIFY EDITOR about the improvements that have been made by filling out the OUTLINING HOW THE ISSUES ARE ADDRESSED file.
