Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is written with Cambria font size 14 for title, 11 for abstracts and keywords, and 12 for the main body text with 1.5 (one and half) line spacing between lines on A4 paper (210 mm x 297 mm) with the upper, lower, and right margin of 3 cm and the left margin of 3 cm; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Editors receive article submission with the following requirements:

1. The article has never been published in other journals or any media.

2. The article is typed in Cambria, 14 for title, 11 for abstracts and keywords, and 12 for the main body text, 1,5 line spacing, and A4 size with 3.5 cm left margin, 3 cm right margin, 3 cm upper and lower margin. The length of the article is not more or less than 10-20 pages including images, graphics, tables, and bibliography.

3. Title, abstract, and keywords must be written both in Indonesian and English.

4. The article is written in Indonesian or English.

5. The article writing system is arranged in the following order:

  • Title: Comprehensive, clear, and concise. The title is not more than 20 words. Article title, section title, and subsection title are bold. The article title is typed in capital size 14, the chapter title and subsection title are typed with title case. Capital letters are used to start each word in the title except the proposition;
  • Author name and institution: The author’s name is written completely without any title. The institution's name is written under the author's name along with the institution's full address, institution's telephone number, and the author's e-mail address;
  • Abstract: abstract is the core of the article, consists of 100-150 words and written in one paragraph;
  • Keywords: keywords are placed below the abstract under the abstract consist of not more than five words. Keywords should mention the main concepts of the article. Keywords should not mention names, institutions, or places that are not related to the article’s main issue.
  • Introduction (without subsection): introduction contains the background of the problem, purpose, the significance of the article and hypothesis;
  • Methods; consist of a variety of research characteristics, data sources, data, data collection/sampling techniques, data collection instruments, data collection procedures, and analysis methods. Repeatability of an article’s method is important thus a brief explanation is required.
  • Findings and Discussion: Showing and explaining the main analysis directly to answer the research problem(s) and purpose(s) of the study. Presented in subsections and written in Bahasa or English. Use in-note reference technique to write the references and citations, ex: there is no original or primary gender a drag imitates, but gender is a kind of imitation for which there is no original (Butler, 1990) or (Butler, 1990:56)
  • Pictures, graphics, and tables: must be numbered with title, description, and quoted in the text. Referencing or quoting images, graphics, and tables must use numbering, not with “below”, “as follows”, or “the following”.  Example: The structure of writing a headline in the Kompas daily economic rubric is presented in Table 4. For pictures and graphics, the number and title are placed below it. Meanwhile, for the table, the number and title are placed on it. Images, graphics, and tables are processed data. The inclusion of tables or images that are too long (more than 1 page) should be avoided. Tables must be presented without vertical lines;
  • Conclusion
  • Bibliography: please refer to the document template.

6. Article submission must be submitted on the Open Journal System (OJS) on online submission menu
