Hubungan Self-Esteem dengan Kecenderungan Bulimia nervosa pada Remaja Perempuan: Review Naratif

Self-esteem yang rendah telah dihipotesiskan sebagai faktor risiko perkembangan gangguan makan, dengan sebagian besar penderita bulimia adalah remaja perempuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-esteem dengan kecenderungan bulimia nervosa pada remaja perempuan secara global. Review yang dilakukan menunjukkan beberapa penelitian terdahulu membuktikan bahwa kecenderungan bulimia nervosa salah satunya disebabkan karena rendahnya tingkat self-esteem. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara self-esteem dengan kecenderungan gangguan makan bulimia nervosa pada remaja perempuan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa self-esteem yang rendah dapat membuat individu lebih rentan mengalami gangguan makan bulimia nervosa.
