The Cardiovascular and Cardiometabolic Journal (CCJ) is an English language, peer-reviewed scholarly publication in the area of cardiovascular disease. Cardiovascular and Cardiometabolic Journal (CCJ) publishes original research, reviews, case reports, case series, and letters on:

Cardiovascular and Cardiometabolic Journal (CCJ) is the official publication of Department of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Airlangga in collaboration with Perhimpunan Dokter Spesialis Kardiovaskular Indonesia - PERKI (Indonesian Heart Association) and is edited by an international group of eminent researchers.

Peer Review Process

The peer-review process is an essential part of the publication process which improves the manuscripts published. Peer review provides an independent assessment of the importance and technical accuracy of the results described. Reviewers will give the authors feedbacks along with the editors' advice which would result in a more refined scientific manuscripts.

All manuscripts received by the editor of Cardiovascular and Cardiometabolic Journal (CCJ) will be reviewed by peer reviewers according to the field of cardiovascular and cardiometabolic studies (at least 2 people) with a double-blind peer review policy. It is a review method which the reviewers and authors' identities will be concealed from each other. The review process takes approximately 12-16 weeks and the final decision will be taken by the assigned editor based on the comments from the reviewers in the editorial board forum.

 

Publication Frequency

Cardiovascular and Cardiometabolic Journal (CCJ) is published two times a year in March and September.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content which means that it is available for the users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with Budapest Open Access Initiative.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the PKP PN, LOCKSS and CLOCKSS systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

 

Article Processing Charge

Articles submitted to the Cardiovascular and Cardiometabolic Journal (CCJ) will not be charged if the article is accepted for publication. In addition, there will be no charge for manuscript submission, including: peer-reviewing, editing, publishing, maintaining and archiving, and the provision of immediate access to full-text versions of the articles will be levied.

 

Plagiarism Check

Cardiovascular and Cardiometabolic Journal (CCJ) does not tolerate any form of plagiarism. Every manuscripts submitted to this journal will be checked for plagiarism using Turnitin.

The manuscript will be accepted for review if the similarity percentage is less than 20%. The results of this automated detection are forwarded to the Section Editor and will serve as the preliminary check for plagiarism. Plagiarism may also be identified during the review process by the technical reviewers assigned to the manuscript. Final plagiarism check will be done after the author finalizes their reviewed manuscript. When plagiarism is identified, the Section Editor responsible for the review of the manuscript and the Editor-in-Chief will agree on measures according to the extent of plagiarism detected in the manuscript in agreement with the following guidelines. The Editor-in-Chief shall have the authority to deviate from these guidelines on a case-by-case basis.

 

Publication Ethics

The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed edition of the Cardiovascular and Cardiometabolic Journal (CCJ) is an important part in the development of a conducive and vast knowledge in the medical field. It is a product of creativity on the quality of the author(s)' work and their supporting institutions. Peer-reviewed articles support fair scoring on the content and scientific method applied. It is, therefore important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behaviour for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, the publisher and society. Deposit Policy

Cardiovascular and Cardiometabolic Journal (CCJ) allows authors to deposit all versions of their work. This policy sets out the ways in which CCJ journal authors can self-archive versions of their work on their own web pages, on institutional webpages, and in another repository. ORCID ID Policy

Submission to Cardiovascular and Cardiometabolic Journal (CCJ) starting from Volume 3, Number 1 (2022) must include the ORCID id of at least one of the authors. If authors are unable to update their ORCID ID when they register for an account for the first time, you may contact our admin to ask for help or send us an email of the request through our email: ccj@journal.unair.ac.id

Journal History

Cardiovascular and Cardiometabolic Journal (CCJ) is an open-access scientific journal published by Department of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine Universitas Airlangga for the Indonesian Heart Association. The journal publishes articles related to research in and the practice of cardiovascular diseases, including observational studies, clinical trials, epidemiology, health services and outcomes studies, and advances in applied (translational) and basic research. 

The first edition of Cardiovascular and Cardiometabolic Journal (CCJ) appeared in March 2020, followed by an edition dedicated to 11th Surabaya Cardiology Update / Continuing Medical Education XXII / Airlangga Cardiovascular International Conference 2020.
