Informasi seputar kecantikan banyak dijadikan konten di berbagai platform media sosial, akibatnya semakin banyak informasi-informasi seputar kecantikan dijadikan panduan bagi individu untuk memenuhi kebutuhan kecantikannya, termasuk pada pengguna dari generasi Z. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran preferensi Generasi Z di kota Surabaya Indonesia dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi kecantikannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dan alat ukur yang digunakan melalui penyebaran kuesioner. Pemilihan responden dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 400 orang yang berasal dari generasi Z di kota Surabaya. Konsep yang digunakan untuk menganalisis penelitian adalah berasal dari horizon sumber informasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa preferensi sumber informasi yang digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi kecantikannya adalah melalui platform media sosial, platform e-commerce, search engine, beauty store dan orang lain.
