Analisis Bibliometrik tentang Penerapan Internet of Things (IoT) dalam Bisnis

Latar belakang: Internet of Things (IoT) yang diciptakan oleh Kevin Ashton pada tahun 1999 memiliki peran yang besar dalam konteks bisnis. IoT dapat dilihat menawarkan solusi serta peningkatan yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan pada berbagai sektor industri bisnis seperti, pemasaran, kesehatan, keuangan, perbelanjaan, transportasi dan logistik, dan sektor bisnis lainnya. Penerapan IoT pada berbagai sektor bisnis telah menjadi area penelitian yang dinamis dan terus berkembang. Inovasi terkini dalam bidang ini memperlihatkan potensi besar untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, mengoptimalkan pengelolaan sumber daya, dan menciptakan pengalaman pelanggan yang lebih personal. Tujuan: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menggali lebih dalam sejauh mana perkembangan dan dampak penelitian pada bidang penerapan IoT dalam bisnis. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis bibliometrik. Hasil: Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa publikasi ilmiah pada bidang IoT dalam bisnis meningkat cukup pesat dalam rentang waktu tahun 2013 sampai dengan tahun 2022. Namun, publikasi ilmiah pada bidang IoT dalam bisnis juga mengalami penururan dalam rentang waktu tahun 2022 ke tahun 2023. Jurnal IEEE Access menjadi jurnal yang paling produktif mempublikasikan artikel ilmiah pada bidang IoT dalam bisnis sebanyak 106 artikel. Peneliti yang paling produktif berkontribusi pada bidang penelitian IoT dalam bisnis adalah Wang X. dengan publikasi ilmiah sebanyak 24 artikel. Tiongkok menjadi negara yang paling banyak berkontribusi mempublikasikan artikel ilmiah dalam bidang IoT dalam bisnis, diikuti oleh India serta Amerika Serikat, dan Britania Raya. Selain itu, kata yang paling banyak muncul pada penelitian IoT dalam bisnis adalah "internet of things” dengan presentase kemunculan sebesar 24%. Kesimpulan: Dengan memahami tren dan temuan ini, para peneliti dan pengusaha dapat mengidentifikasi peluang untuk inovasi yang lebih besar dan penggunaan IoT yang lebih efektif dalam bisnis. Selain itu, temuan ini dapat membantu pembuat kebijakan mengembangkan strategi untuk mendorong penelitian dan penggunaan teknologi IoT di berbagai sektor bisnis.
Background: The Internet of Things (IoT), which was created by Kevin Ashton in 1999, has a big role in the business context. IoT integration can be seen to offer solutions and improvements tailored to the needs of various business industry sectors such as marketing, health, finance, entertainment, transportation and logistics, and other business sectors. The application of the IoT in various business sectors has become a dynamic and growing research area. Recent innovations in this area show great potential to improve operational efficiency, optimize resource management, and create a more personalized customer experience. Purpose: This study aims to explore further the development and impact of research in the field of applying the IoT in business. Methods: This research uses bibliometric analysis. Results: The results of the analysis show that scientific publications in the field of IoT in business increased quite rapidly in the period from 2013 to 2022. However, scientific publications in the field of IoT in business also experienced a decline in the period from 2022 to 2023. Journal IEEE Access is the most productive journal publishing scientific articles in the field of IoT in business with 106 articles. The researcher who most productively contributed to the field of IoT research in business is Wang X. with scientific publications of 24 articles. China is the country that contributes the most to publishing scientific articles in the field of IoT in business, followed by India, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Apart from that, the word that appears most often in research on the IoT in business is "internet of things" with an appearance percentage of 24%. Conclusion: By understanding these trends and findings, researchers and business owners can identify opportunities for greater innovation and more effective use of the IoT in business. In addition, these findings can help policymakers develop strategies to encourage research and use of IoT technologies across different business sectors.
