Evaluation of Online Public Access Catalog Interface “MyPustaka” in the Library of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY)

Latar belakang: MyPustaka perlu dievaluasi karena merupakan portal online public access catalog (OPAC). Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil evaluasi antarmuka OPAC MyPustaka di Perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa aktif UMY, sedangkan objek penelitian ini adalah evaluasi antarmuka OPAC MyPustaka. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa aktif (anggota Perpustakaan UMY) dengan jumlah 24.149 mahasiswa. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling incidental dengan perolehan data sebanyak 100 mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan teknik kuesioner, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan rumus mean dan grand mean. Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini didasarkan pada angka 3,277 yang merupakan hasil rata-rata keseluruhan penelitian (grand mean). Rata-rata terendah adalah 2.91, sedangkan rata-rata tertinggi memperoleh nilai sebesar 3,52. Kesimpulan: Dapat dikatakan bahwa hasil evaluasi antarmuka OPAC MyPustaka termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik.
Background: MyPustaka needs to be evaluated because it is an online public access catalog (OPAC) portal. Purpose: This study aims to determine evaluation results of the OPAC MyPustaka interface at the Library of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta University (UMY). Methods: This research uses a descriptive quantitative method. The subjects used in this research are active students of UMY, while the object of this research is the evaluation of the OPAC MyPustaka interface. The population in this study were all active students (UMY library members) with a total of 24,149 students. Sampling was done using a convenience sampling technique with data collection from 100 students. Data were collected using questionnaire techniques, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the mean and grand mean formulas. Results: The results of this study are based on a figure of 3,277, which is the overall average (grand mean) of the study. The lowest average was 2,91, while the highest average was 3,52. Conclusion: It can be said that the evaluation results of the MyPustaka OPAC interface evaluation fall into the very good category.
