Background: Every company is obliged to implement occupational health and safety in the workplace. Occupational health and safety is the most important step to guarantee occupational safety, protect workers and promote a higher degree of health, so that workers can avoid various risks that endanger workers. One of the dangers at work is the psychological aspect, namely work stress. The American National Institutes of Health (NIH) says that out of 130 stressful jobs, nurses rank 27th.

Objectives: This study aims to look at the relationship between age, gender, years of service, mental workload, and work fatigue with work stress.

Methods: The research method used is quantitative with data analysis using the Spearman correlation coefficient.

Results: The results showed that there was no relationship between age, gender, years of service, mental workload and work stress. In addition, a relationship was found between job burnout and work stress..

Conclusions: Overall it can be concluded that age, gender, years of service and workload on nurses are not related to work stress. However, the work fatigue of nurses at RSI Fatimah Banyuwangi is related to the work stress of these nurses.
