AUTHOR GUIDELINES OF JOURNAL OF MOZAIK HUMANIORA

A. Submission Preparation Checklists

Editors receive article submissions with the following requirements:

1. The article has never been published by other media.

2. The article is about the study of humanities, literatures, linguistics, history, philosophy, philology and cultural studies.

3. Article is typed in Times New Roman font in 12 size, 1.0 line spacing, and A4 size with 3.5 cm left margin, 3 cm right margin, 3 cm upper and lower margin. The length of the article is no more than 7000 words, including images, graphics, tables, and references.

4. Titles, abstracts, and key words must be written both in Indonesian and English.

5. Article is written in Indonesian or English.

6. The article writing system is arranged in the following order:

a)         Title: Comprehensive, clear and concise. The title is no more than 15 words. Article title, section title, and subsection title are bold. Capital letters are used to start each word in the title except the preposition;

b)        Name and institution of the author: the name is written completely without a title. The institution's name is written under the author's name, along with the institution's full address, institution's telephone number, and the author's e-mail address;

c)         Abstract: abstract is the core of the article, consisting of 150-250 words, and written in one paragraph;

d)        Keywords: keywords are written under the abstract in a maximum of five words listed in alphabetical order. Key words must reflect the important concepts contained in the article;

e)        Introduction (without subsection): introduction contains the contains the background of the problem, purpose, literature review, and the significance of the article (if any);

f)          Methods;

g)         Results and discussion: It is presented in subsections;

h)        Referral or quotation: It is written using an author-date referencing system and recommended to include page numbers;

i)           Pictures, graphics, and tables: They must be numbered, given a title and description, and quoted in the text. Referencing or quoting images, graphics, and tables must use numbering, not with the words "below”, "as follows”, or "the following”.  

Example: The structure of writing a headline in the Kompas daily economic rubric is presented in Table 4.

For pictures and graphics, the number and title are placed below it. Meanwhile for the table, the number and title are placed on it. Images, graphics, and tables are processed data. Inclusion of tables or images that are too long (more than 1 page) should be avoided. Tables must be presented without vertical lines.;

j)          Conclusion: It is not the summary or repetition of results;

k)         References: It contains literatures cited in the article, written alphabetically and chronologically according to the author's name without including the academic title(s). If an author writes more than one article / book in the same year, behind the year both in the text and in the references are affixed with lowercase letters (a, b, and c). In the references, the author's first name can be written in full or abbreviated, for example Storey, John or Storey, J.

7. Article written in English can use British English or American English spelling and must be consistent throughout the article.

8. Article submission must be done through Open Journal System (OJS) at https://e-journal.unair.ac.id/MOZAIK/.

9. Notices regarding acceptance or rejection of the article will be notified in writing to the author.

10. Articles that are not accepted will not be returned. Articles that are accepted cannot be withdrawn.

11. The author with the accepted article by Journal of Mozaik Humaniora bears the costs of IDR 1.000.000

12. The author must be willing to make article revisions if they are needed.

13. Language used in writing References follows the language of the article.

14. Authors are suggested to use Mendeley software to write citation and references (can be downloaded for free at www.mendeley.com) and choose the Turabian style (author-date style). If citations and references are compiled manually, referrals are written in a manner such as the following example:

B. Writing Ethics

When submitting articles, the author must also submit a submission form containing:

1. Statement Form stating that:

a) The article is original / free of plagiarism, has never been published, and is not being considered for publication in other journals / media, b) does not have copyright issues for the images or tables presented, and c) all the authors have approved the authorship sequence, the contents of the text, and the manuscript publication.

2. Copyright Agreement Form

The author gives royalty-free license to publisher appointed by Journal of Mozaik Humaniora management to publish, reproduce, store, and distribute manuscripts in printed and digital forms publicly, and the authors retain the copyright of the manuscript.
