Folia Medica Indonesiana is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that publishes high quality and original scientific research in basic and clinical medicine. Folia Medica Indonesiana is published four times a year, in March, June, September, and December. Folia Medica Indonesiana welcomes original research report, case series with scoping review discussion, systematic review and/ meta-analysis. Suggestions for special issues covering selected topics may be given special consideration by the editorial board. Through an open access publishing model, Folia Medica Indonesiana provides an important forum where medicine and health science researchers in academic, public and private arenas can present their latest results to a wider audience. Folia Medica Indonesiana is committed to uphold high ethical standard and rigorous double-blinded peer-review; according to the values of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and World Association of Medical Editors (WAME). 

Folia Medica Indonesiana has been accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Republic of Indonesia as a high-quality academic journal (No.158/E/KPT/2021) since vol. 56 no. 4 [2020] and is valid until vol. 61 no. 3 [2025]. Folia Medica Indonesiana has also been indexed in ASEAN Citation Index and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).
