The Indonesian Journal of Tropical and Infectious Disease (IJTID) is a scientific peer-reviewed journal published by the Institute of Tropical Disease, Universitas Airlangga.

IJTID is a highly respected tropical and infectious disease journal indexed in major databases, such as the Science and Technology Index (SINTA) and the Directory of Open Access Journal (DOAJ). IJTID has been accredited by Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi Republik Indonesia (Indonesia’s The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology) since 2017. The latest accreditation number (SINTA 2) of the IJTID is 105/E/KPT/2022.

IJTID focuses original research on epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment, and control of infectious diseases, with particular emphasis on the most prevalent diseases in Indonesia, Southeast Asia, tropical countries, and worldwide.

The journal is intended for scientists, clinicians, and professionals in infectious diseases, biochemistry and molecular biology, microbiology, and related sciences. It was established to promote the recognition of emerging and re-emerging diseases, specifically in Indonesia, Southeast Asia, other tropical countries, and worldwide, and to improve the understanding of factors involved in disease emergence, prevention, and management. We welcome contributions from infectious disease specialists in academics, industry, clinical practice, public health, and pharmacy, as well as from specialists in economics, social sciences, and other disciplines.
