- PMNJ's advertisements and sponsored publications are separate from editorial decisions and are not endorsed by PMNJ. Editorial content remains independent of commercial interests.
- PMNJ has the authority to reject damaging or inappropriate advertising.
- Advertising for health-harming products like tobacco and alcohol is not permitted.
- Advertisements must be accurate, verifiable, and clearly identify the advertiser and the product/service. Exaggerated or offensive content, including personal, racial, ethnic, sexual orientation, or religious aspects, is prohibited.
- Online advertisements can be removed from the journal site upon request by the Editor(s)-in-Chief or Publisher.
- PMNJ prohibits targeted treatment-specific or drug-specific campaigns for articles or pages. Advertisers cannot link to articles using keywords or align their ads with specific articles mentioning the product. Referencing simultaneous articles is also not allowed.
- Advertisements for drug-specific campaigns must comply with Indonesian advertising laws. Advertisers must provide the marketing authorization and product characteristics summary. Drug ads should include the full generic names of active ingredients. Ads for prescription-only medicines must be clearly labeled for health professionals.
- Drug-specific campaign ads should promote responsible use and avoid misleading information.
- Advertisements and editorial content must be clearly distinguishable. PMNJ does not publish "advertorial" content, and sponsored supplements must be clearly indicated. Supplements with different peer review processes or no peer review should be explicitly stated.
- Editorial decisions are independent of sponsors, advertisers, and marketing, and do not influence website search results.
- Contact the editorial team for requests regarding non-standard advertisements, and expect a final decision within two business days.
