Jurnal Rekonstruksi dan Estetik (p-ISSN:2301-7937, e-ISSN: 2774-6062) is a peer-reviewed open-access scientific journal published by the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Airlangga. The number of scientific works generated is increasing daily, and the Jurnal Rekonstruksi dan Estetik is the only venue where they may be published. In this regard, the Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University - Dr. Soetomo General Academic Hospital, Surabaya, Indonesia published the Jurnal Rekonstruksi dan Estetik in 2012 to publish various types of scientific papers in the form of original basic medical and clinical articles presented as original articles, case reports, literature review, meta-analysis, and review articles. Jurnal Rekonstruksi dan Estetik is published two times per year every June and December.  The article was written in Bahasa and English, but starting in December 2022, all the articles were written in English. Contributors for Jurnal Rekonstruksi dan Estetik are researchers, lecturers, plastic surgeons, and students that focus on reconstruction and aesthetic latest development in Southeast Asia and developing countries.
