Author Guidelines

Some of the provisions in Journal of Governance and Administrative Reform writing include:

a) The title of the article must be able to describe the contents of the article, and the number of words is around 8 to 14. written in 2 languages: Indonesian and English avoiding capital letters that are applied in all letters

b) Author names are left blank according to the double-blind policy

Information about departments, faculties, universities or institutions, and email addresses are also removed according to a double-blind policy

c) Abstract is written in one paragraph followed by keywords in Indonesian and English. The abstract is written approximately 200-250. Abstract contains writing background, writing objectives, research methods, discussion and conclusions.

d) The content of the article must have relevance to the field of state administration or public administration and the content is controlled by the author.

e) The contents of the article must be original and have never been published in the publishing media

f) The writing of the article is typed in MS Word in Times New Roman 12 and typed in 1 1/2 (one and a half spaces) on A4 paper, with 3500-6000 words.

 

Manuscript Preparation and Selingkung Style
JGAR journal writing techniques to support the building of scientific journal writing, writing techniques must pay attention to several things, including:

a) Articles are written in essay form, so that there is no numeric (or alphabetical) format that separates chapters / sections, or to mark new chapters / sections.

b) To compress and streamline the content of the article, running notes are used instead of footnotes or endnotes, for example:

.......... (Hill & Hupe, 2001; Thompson, 2005: 120-123).

.......... (Porter et al, 2004)

...... .. (Hogwood, 1981 in Gunn, 1984)

c) Conclusions are not detailed in points, but in the form of paragraphs

d) If there is a Table / Graph or Image, it is submitted in a different file from the article text in tab-delimited form.

e) Writing Table 1 and so on above the table, then continued with Table Title

f) Figure 1 and so on below the image, followed by image captions.

 

Bibliography

Writing for the bibliography uses the "name-year" system (not "acuurut"), with the alphabetical order of the family name (last name). Regarding bibliographical citations taken from several sources, there are several provisions for how to cite several sources, namely:

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
