Journal of Governance and Administrative Reform (JGAR) (e-ISSN: 2962-9578) is a peer-reviewed open-access scientific journal published by Universitas Airlangga. JGAR focuses on Governance and Administrative Reform. This journal has scopes such as public policy, governance, administrative reform, government reform, public service, and electronic governance. Each volume of the Journal of Governance and Administrative Reform is counted in each calendar year that consists of 2 issues. Journal of Governance and Administrative Reform is published twice per year every June and December. Articles published in the Journal of Governance and Administrative Reform include article research, article review of literature studies, and book reviews in the field of public administration. Articles could be written in either Bahasa Indonesia or English. Contributors to the Journal of Governance and Administrative Reform are researchers, lecturers, students, public administration academics, practitioners of private organizations, and government practitioners to be able to identify and dialogue about the philosophy, theory, and practices of public administration that are considered to improve their performance in Indonesia and worldwide.

Journal of Governance and Administrative Reform has been accredited by the National Journal Accreditation (ARJUNA) by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia with the category of SINTA 5 (based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology Number 79/E/KPT/2023), Sinta 5 certificate.
