Journal History

Ovozoa journal is an Online Journal (e-journal), first published (Volume 1) in 2012 on the page http://journal.unair.ac.id/OVOZOA@ovozoa-media-123.html.   This journal was issued based on the Decree of the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Airlangga, as a scientific communication media that contained the scientific work of lecturers and students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Airlangga in the field of Animal Reproduction.  Ovozoa was published under the e-Journal Universitas Airlangga: http://journal.unair.ac.id/.

Name of the Journal

  • Volume 1 (2012) until Volume 8 (2019), this journal name was the Ovozoa e-journal, Journal of Animal reproduction.
  • Starting from Volume 9 (2020), this journal name was change to the Ovozoa : Journal of Animal Reproduction.

Journal Collaboration

  • Based on the decision of Asosiasi Departemen Reproduksi Veteriner Indonesia (ADERVI) or the Indonesian Association of Department of Veterinary Reproduction (IADVR) meeting on December 11th, 2019 in Surabaya, the publication of the Ovozoa  e-journal starting in 2020 in collaboration with ADERVI.  The Memorandum of Agreement between the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Airlangga and the Chairperson of ADERVI, Number (FKH UNAIR): 1445/UN3.1.6/KS/2020 and Number (ADERVI): 04/ADERVI/V/2020 signed on May 4th, 2020.
  • Since March 27, 2021 Ovozoa : Journal of Animal Reproduction has also collaborated with Asosiasi Reproduksi Hewan Indonesia (ARHI) of the Indonesian Animal Reproduction Association (IARA).

 

Issue Frequency:

  • Volume 1 (2012) until Volume 8 (2019), Ovozoa : Journal of Animal Reproduction publish biannually (April and October).
  • In Volume 8 (2019), Ovozoa : Journal of Animal Reproduction announce that starting in Volume 9 (2020), Ovozoa : Journal of Animal Reproduction publish three times a year: April, August, and December.

There is no article publication charge. However, this policy will be reviewed annually and will be announced in advance if there are changes.

  • Volume 1 (2012) until Volume 8 (2019), Ovozoa : Journal of Animal Reproduction publish articles in Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Starting in Volume 9 (2020), Ovozoa : Journal of Animal Reproduction publish articles in Bahasa Indonesia and in English.
  • In Volume 9 (2020), Ovozoa : Journal of Animal Reproduction announce that starting in Volume 11 (2022), we are publish articles in English. Manuscripts submitted in Bahasa Indonesia, if they meet the qualifications at the initial examination, will be translated by the Editor with the author's approval, before the manuscript is sent to the reviewers.

Style:

  • Volume 1 (2012) until Volume 8 (2019), Ovozoa : Journal of Animal Reproduction publish issues without Front Matter and Back Matter.
  • Starting in Volume 9 (2020), Ovozoa : Journal of Animal Reproduction publish issues without Front Matter (contained Cover and List of Content) and Back Matter (contained Author Index, Subject Index, Acknowledgement to Reviewers, and Author Guidelines).
  • Starting in Volume 11 (2022), Ovozoa : Journal of Animal Reproduction publish article style with "How to cite this article” above of the ABSTRACT, and link of the citation in the manuscript to References section and cited articles.
27 November 2023: Starting from the issue of Volume 12 Number 2 August 2023, Ovozoa: Journal of Animal Reproduction decides to have new licence, copyrightthe Editorial Board, and document template to equating writing and regulation standards, and following the international journal trend
